What we do
We work tirelessly to support vulnerable populations,
with a special focus on gender equality, improving access to sexual and reproductive health services, enhancing educational opportunities, and promoting sustainable livelihoods.

HEALTH
Sexual and Reproductive Health InitiativesAt CLFU, we believe that access to sexual and reproductive health services is a fundamental human right. Our sexual and reproductive health programs focus on empowering individuals, particularly women and youth, with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions about their health and well-being. We provide educational sessions, distribute health materials, and facilitate access to healthcare services in communities that need it most. We also raise awareness around issues such as family planning, maternal health, HIV/AIDS prevention, and gender-based violence, aiming to reduce stigma and improve overall community health.

MENTAL HEALTH & REHAB
Our Mental Health Rehabilitation and Capacity-Building Program is designed to support individuals with mental health conditions through structured rehabilitation initiatives and empowerment strategies. The program focuses on recovery, skill development, and community reintegration while also strengthening local capacity to address mental health challenges effectively. By integrating psychosocial support, vocational training, and stigma reduction efforts, we aim to enhance well-being and foster inclusive communities where individuals with mental health conditions can thrive.
EDUCATION
Reaching Schools and CommunitiesEducation is the cornerstone of our work at CLFU. We are dedicated to improving educational opportunities, particularly for marginalized children, especially girls. Through partnerships with local schools, we have implemented programs designed to increase school attendance, reduce dropout rates, and provide students with the necessary skills for the future. By providing educational resources, building awareness about the importance of education, and supporting teachers, we have reached numerous schools across Uganda. Our programs focus on quality education, vocational training, and empowering youth with the skills they need to succeed both in the classroom and in life.

LIVELIHOOD
Skilling Projects for Sustainable GrowthWe recognize that the key to long-term community resilience lies in economic empowerment. Through our livelihood programs, we provide skills training to vulnerable individuals, particularly youth and women, enabling them to gain practical and marketable skills that enhance their chances for employment and entrepreneurship. Our skilling projects cover various trades, including tailoring, carpentry, farming techniques, and small-scale business management. By equipping community members with skills and knowledge, we are helping them build a better future for themselves and their families.

PROTECTION
Addressing Gender Issues and ViolenceAt CLFU, we are committed to promoting gender equality and protecting individuals from gender-based violence (GBV). Our protection programs focus on raising awareness about gender issues, advocating for the rights of women and girls, and providing support to survivors of GBV. We offer counseling services, legal support, and safe spaces for survivors. Through community sensitization and outreach programs, we challenge harmful cultural practices, promote women's empowerment, and work toward creating a society where everyone—regardless of gender—has equal opportunities and rights.
